✨ Meet the People Behind the Magic: A Little Bit of Pixie Dust Pins Behind the Scenes
If you’ve ever wondered who is behind Pixie Dust Pins, how the magic happens, or what goes on behind the scenes of your favourite Disney pin trading shop, today we’re opening the door and letting you take a peek! 💖✨
Because behind every Disney pin that finds a new home, every parcel that gets packed and every message from a fellow pin collector, there’s a real person who genuinely loves the magic of Disney pins and the community that comes with them.
So, let’s introduce you to Helen — one half of the team behind Pixie Dust Pins! 🧚♀️
👋 Hi, I'm Helen!
Hello and welcome behind the scenes of Pixie Dust Pins!
Pixie Dust Pins was created from a genuine love of Disney, collecting and, most importantly, the wonderful community of Disney pin traders and collectors.
For us, Disney pins aren't simply pieces of merchandise. They're little reminders of magical holidays, favourite characters, special memories and the people we've met along the way.
And that's what makes pin trading so special; it's about people as much as it is about pins.
💕 What Happens Behind the Scenes at Pixie Dust Pins?
Running a small business involves rather more than simply putting beautiful pins onto a website!
There are plenty of magical — and sometimes slightly chaotic! — things happening behind the scenes.
🔍 Finding the next magical addition
One of the most exciting parts is discovering products and ideas that we think fellow Disney pin collectors and Disney pin traders will love. We hunt down collections of pins and there's always a pile waiting to be authenticated and priced!
We're always thinking about what our community might be looking for.
Is it something practical for pin trading?
Something to add to a collection?
A great present for a pin trader?
Or perhaps a little Disney-inspired treat that makes someone smile?
We love searching for those little pieces of magic.
📦 Packing Your Orders
There's also the very important job of getting your orders ready!
Every order represents a Disney fan somewhere who is waiting for a little bit of magic to arrive through their letterbox — and we don't take that for granted.
From checking orders to carefully preparing parcels, there's plenty going on before your Pixie Dust Pins package makes its journey to you.
And yes… there is definitely a little excitement every time another order comes through! 💖
🖥️ The Website Doesn't Build Itself!
There's also a whole world of work that happens behind the website.
Adding products, writing descriptions, taking photographs, updating collections, preparing Christmas launches, creating special offers and making sure everything is easy for you to find are all part of the behind-the-scenes work.
We want Pixie Dust Pins to be somewhere that Disney pin collectors feel comfortable browsing — whether you've been collecting Disney pins for years or you're completely new to pin trading.

🧚♀️ But It's Really About the Community
This is probably the most important part.
Pixie Dust Pins wouldn't be Pixie Dust Pins without you.
We love hearing about your collections, seeing your favourite pins, chatting about Disney trips and discovering just how many different reasons people have for collecting.
Some collectors have a very specific theme.
Some collect their favourite characters.
Some collect pins from particular Disney Parks or holidays.
Some people love the thrill of finding that one pin they've been searching for.
And some simply see a pin they love and think:
“I need that!” 😂✨
There really isn't a wrong way to enjoy Disney pin collecting.
🎀 More Than Just Disney Pins
One of the things we're passionate about is making Pixie Dust Pins a place for the wider Disney pin trading community, rather than simply somewhere to buy a pin.
We want to celebrate the hobby itself.
The excitement of finding a new pin.
The fun of trading.
The stories behind collections.
The friendships made through a shared love of Disney.
The excitement of opening a parcel.
And that little bit of happiness when you finally find the pin you've been looking for.
That's the magic we're trying to capture.
❤️ Why We Love Disney Pin Trading
There is something wonderfully social about Disney pin trading.
You can meet someone who you've never spoken to before and immediately have something in common: Disney pins.
You might be comparing collections, discussing your favourite characters, looking for a particular design or talking about your latest Disney trip.
For us, that sense of community is one of the best things about being part of the world of Disney pins.
✨ So, What's Next for Pixie Dust Pins?
Well… we're always working on something!
Behind the scenes you'll find us thinking about new products, planning seasonal collections, working on the website, preparing orders and dreaming up new ways to sprinkle a little more Pixie Dust into your Disney pin journey.
And there are always ideas bubbling away.
Some make it onto the website quickly.
Others take a little more pixie dust! 🧚♀️
But we're excited to continue growing Pixie Dust Pins and, most importantly, growing alongside our amazing community of Disney pin collectors and traders.
💖 Thank You for Being Part of the Magic
Whether you've bought from us, traded Disney pins with us, followed along on social media, recommended us to a friend or simply stopped by to browse our Disney pins…
thank you.
Every order, message, comment and conversation means more than you probably realise.
Small businesses are built on people — and we're incredibly lucky to have such a lovely community of Disney pin traders and collectors around Pixie Dust Pins.
So next time you receive a parcel from us, remember that there's a real person behind it, packing a little piece of Disney magic and sending it your way. 🎁✨
From Helen and the Pixie Dust Pins team…
Thank you for helping us sprinkle a little pixie dust! 🧚♀️💖
